I’m Adrian and this is a little bit about me:
I am 20 something years old with a Dalmatian named Ace and an American Miniature Horse named Blue Bell (who lives on my parents ranch).
I was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas and have your typical Texan attitude and pride!
Why a blog about grief?
- My cousin, Marriah, died in a car accident while she was heading into work on February 24th, 2017 at the age of 23 years old.
- She and I were 8 months apart in age, and grew up very close. She was my built-in best friend and we talked almost daily, so I feel the loss of her daily.
- I came to the realization that I haven’t been grieving in a very healthy way and started writing on Facebook to help with the grief when I came across something I felt led to share. So why not blog about it?
- She loved sunflowers so I decided that would be my theme for this new journey.
I decided to start blogging as a way for me to let out some of these thoughts and feelings that constantly have me in a holding pattern of tears and denial. My sincere hope is that blogging about my journey with grief might help someone else.
Also I should point out that I am a follower of Jesus so scripture and praise/worship song will be referenced. I’m also not perfect, just forgiven, so some language may be PG-13.
Thanks for following me along this journey! Y’all come back for more. ❤
Love you always. Miss you forever, Sunflower. 🌻
So excited to see you grow and come to peace through your writing! I’m your biggest fan!
